Terms & Conditions
Exhibitors are required to read and agree to the Conditions of Entry.
The 2022 Laguna Art Show will be conducted both online and in-person at the Laguna Hall (NOV 25-27). Each artist is invited to submit a maximum of 3 entries. Sales will be via the sales website and Laguna Hall sales desk over the Art Show weekend.
Promotion will occur via our email database, social media channels and website.
Entry Forms
• Please let us know on the Entry Form, by Tuesday, 1st November, if you intend to exhibit.
• Entries will only be accepted via the online portal with all details included so that payment for sold work is not delayed or withheld.
• Each entry must be the original work of the artist and must not have been previously exhibited at an annual Laguna Art Show.
• Please note that this year the entry fee of $30 is a flat fee for entering 1-3 artworks. The funds will be allocated to the purchase of equipment, experiences or education tools to foster and enrich the education of our 'Little Faces' at Laguna Public School.
Commission
• A commission of 30% will be deducted from all artworks sold.
• Selling Artists will be paid by direct deposit at the conclusion of the Art Show; PLEASE COMPLETE BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE INFORMATION CORRECTLY WILL LEAD TO A DELAY IN PAYMENT.
• The Art Show committee accepts artworks as donations for which Laguna P&C gratefully receive 100% of the sale price. No entry fee is required for donated works.
Delivery of Artwork
• Delivery of artwork is to Laguna Hall on Monday 21st November from 10am to 4pm.
* If you are unable to deliver on Monday 21st November, delivery can be made to the Roadside Gallery (2864 Wollombi Rd, Wollombi NSW 2325) either on Saturday 19th or Sunday 20th November between 9:30-3:30.
• No entries will be accepted after Monday 21st November at 4pm as the exhibition has to be hung, and the catalogue finalised.
• No wet artworks will be accepted.
Framing and Presentation
• For the safety of your art work it will be checked, on delivery, to ensure that it is framed and wired ready for safe hanging. We cannot take responsibility for work that is damaged because of poor framing or wiring.
• Only work with adequate hooks and string/wire will be hung.
• Each entry should have the artist’s name, title of work and sale price securely attached to the back of the work.
• Entries containing multiple works over 1sq metre in size may be restricted by available space, at the discretion of the Art Exhibition Committee.
Insurance / Care and Responsibility
• Insurance of artworks is the sole responsibility of the artist. All care is taken in terms of secure and safe storage and handling, but the Laguna P&C Association will not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to any artwork. Artists should consider their own insurance. By entering your artwork for sale and exhibition you agree to this condition.
Display of Artworks
• Any artwork may be excluded from display at the Laguna Art Show at the sole discretion of the Laguna Art Show Committee, without prior notification to the artist.
• Given the large volume of works, the manner in which the Artwork is displayed within the Exhibition is entirely at the discretion of the Laguna Art Show Committee.
Social Media
• Only business pages promoting artists and their work will be promoted and tagged in social media posts. No promotion of other businesses including but not limited to retail stores or galleries will be tagged. We reserve the right to crop the images provided to ensure appropriate presentation on the Laguna Art Show page.
Emerging Artists Award
• This year Ken and Antoinette Maurer have kindly donated $500 for an Emerging Artist Award. You are eligible for this award if you have never had a solo exhibition in a commercial gallery. Please ensure you have indicated eligibility on the form. The Award is selected by the Art Show committee and will be announced on Opening Night (NOV 25.
Collection of Unsold Art
• All unsold art work must be collected from Laguna Hall - Sunday 27th November from 3:00pm – 5:30pm or Monday 28th November from 9am - 12pm.
• Uncollected works will attract a holding fee of $5.00 per item per day until collected.
• In the interests of art work care and preservation (yours and others) you will be assisted by our team of helpful volunteers in the removal of your unsold work. Please do not remove it yourself.
• No responsibility can be taken for any art work not collected by this time.
